Synopsis: This original and uncut presentation of Grindhouse is Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's homage to the trashy drive-in and 'grindhouse' double features of the 1970s. Grindhouse is made up of two films: Robert Rodriguez's PLANET TERROR and Quentin Tarantino's DEATH PROOF.
The film is screening off a 35mm print exactly as the original version was intended, complete with 'fake' trailers (by directors such as Eli Roth & Edgar Wright), intentional print scratches and intermission.
PLANET TERROR:
After an experimental bio-nerve gas is accidentally released at a remote U.S. military base in Texas, those exposed to the gas turn into flesh-eating, mutating zombies out to kill. An assortment of various people who include stripper Cherry, her shady mechanic ex-boyfriend Wray, a strong-willed doctor, the local sheriff, and an assortment of various people must join forces to survive the night as the so-called 'sickos' threaten to take over the whole town and the world.
DEATH PROOF:
A deranged stuntman stalks his victims from the safety of his killer car, but when he picks on the wrong group of badass babes, all bets are off in an adrenaline-pumping, high speed, white-knuckle automotive duel of epic proportions, where anything can happen!
